Solid State Supplies is now shipping products from two American specialist semiconductor manufacturers that were recently acquired by Microsemi Following Microsemi's purchase of New England Semiconductor for $9.1 million and Compensated Devices for $11.5 million, the change of ownership allows Solid State access to NES's range of aerospace grade bipolar transistors and CDI's range of high reliability space and military qualified rectifiers and Schottky diodes, many of which use a proprietary high-temperature glass-seal process
Phil Masters, Solid States' Military Specialist commented: "These new lines, together with our existing offerings from International Rectifier, Omnirel, Advanced Analog and Magnitude-3, will provide the UK military manufacturing base with a one-stop-shop for most of its discrete semiconductor requirements".
