Solid State Supplies is now supplying a thin-profile memory stack designed for use for a 1Gbyte thin-profile Registered DIMM for 1U servers.

Claimed as a solution to memory density problems faced by many system manufacturers, Solid State Supplies is now supplying a thin-profile memory stack designed for use for a 1Gbyte thin-profile Registered DIMM for 1U servers.

The thin profile stack reduces the overall size of stacked memory components by over 5% and uses the same manufacturing processes as its industry-leading LP-Stack product line, which keeps manufacturing lead times at a minimum.

"The development of this technology is significant because it allows DPAC to provide our manufacturing partners with products that meet the industry's PC133 1.2in module standards", said Matthew Cook, DPAC's Manager at SSS.
