Kent based specialist semiconductor distributor Solid State Supplies has acquired Steatite for GBP 1.5 million (Eur 2.3 million) "This enables us to expand our offering to our core customers in the industrial and military sectors with Steatite's proprietary products and components", comments Solid State MD Gary Marsh
"Furthermore, the additional GBP 6 million turnover will enable us to achieve the aggressive growth plans which we consider unattainable through pure organic growth in the current market conditions".
Both companies have been servicing the UK electronics industry as independent distributors and manufacturerûs agents for a combined period of more that 90 years and are now able to offer an extensive range of semiconductors, passive components, battery management systems, industrial and embedded PC systems, RFI filters and EMC solutions.
