Being a true "data-in/antenna-out" device, the new MICRF103 from Solid State Supplies benefits from automatic tuning within the IC which eliminates the need for manual tuning and, as a result, saves on production costs in remote wireless applications without compromising on reliability The single-chip transmitter IC uses a novel architecture where the external antenna is tuned by the internal UHF synthesiser

Designed to comply with worldwide UHF unlicensed band international radio regulations, the MICRF103 is compatible with virtually all ASK/OOK UHF receiver types from wideband super-regenerative radios to narrowband, high-performance super-heterodyne receivers, the device is designed to work with transmitter datarates up to 115Kbit/s.

Power miserly with a standby current of less than 1uA, the device's automatic tuning in conjunction with an external resistor insures that the transmitter output power stays constant at maximum regulatory transmit power limits for the life of the battery.
