Motor driver has portable applications
A dual full bridge motor driver answers market demands for smaller package sizes, low-voltage operation and low sleep-mode current.
Providing the flexibility of operating brush DC or stepper motors and complying with market demands for smaller package sizes, low-voltage operation and low sleep-mode current, the new A3901 dual full bridge motor driver from Solid State Supplies is ideal for the portable market Contained in a subminiature package, the outputs in the A3901 have been optimised for low voltage drop, with currents up to +/-400mA (+/-800mA with outputs paralleled) and an operating voltage range of 2.5 to 5.5V

The fastest rectifiers in the west
The MUR range of ultrafast rectifiers from Solid State Supplies have been specifically designed to provide optimised performance of forward voltage drop with a reverse recovery time of 25ns.
The four inputs (IN1 to IN4) can control a bipolar stepper motor in full or half-step mode, or DC motors in forward, reverse, or brake mode.
The inputs can be pulsewidth modulated for current or speed control at frequencies up to 250kHz.
Internal protection circuitry includes thermal shutdown (TSD) and crossover (shoot-through) protection.
The A3901 is supplied in an RoHS compliant 3 x 3 x 0.75mm nominal, 10-lead MLP package with an exposed thermal pad.
