Modules provide network-enabled core processor

A Solid State Supplies product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Apr 9, 2007

The Digi ConnectCore 9C family of modules from Solid State Supplies provides a powerful network-enabled core processor solution.

Whichever platform you intend using, Linux 2.6.12, WinCE 6.0 or NETOS 7.0, the Digi ConnectCore 9C family of modules from Solid State Supplies provides a powerful network-enabled core processor solution.

The module is based on Digi's 32-bit NET+ARM technology using its NS9360 processor and WLAN technology.

Its design combines main processor performance, secure LAN and WLAN connectivity using SSLv3 and WPA2 802.11i, embedded software and hardware design flexibility, and a seamless migration path to a fully integrated system-on-chip solution.

The ConnectCore 9C family offers the industry's first network-enabled core modules with the long-term product availability required to meet the needs of the extended life cycle of embedded product designs.

The pin-compatible wired and wireless ConnectCore 9C and ConnectCore Wi-9C modules deliver a pre-certified, flexible and secure network-enabled system to suit a wide variety of sophisticated applications including medical devices, retail systems, transportation, security/access control, building and industrial automation, warehousing, and networked displays.

Modules are also available with and without connectors to reduce overall height for low-profile embedded applications.

Offering up to 128 megabyte SDRAM and 256 megabyte Flash memory, the ConnectCore modules also feature a 10/100 megabyte Ethernet interface and have an on chip LCD controller for TFT/STN displays.

Digi can also supply modules with an extended operating temperature range.

Development work using the Digi JumpStart Kit enables designers to begin their embedded product design with a minimum of fuss.
