The Spirit RealDuplex acoustic echo canceller (AEC) is aimed at OEMs planning to develop hands-free car kits.

Easily compatible with the Bluetooth communication standard, this new Spirit solution can become a solid base for developing a device with a wireless interface to mobile phones.

With the global trend towards banning the use of mobile phones while driving, voice-based applications featuring Bluetooth wireless technology are prime targets for the Spirit AEC solution.

Hands-free devices make driving safer, and the new Spirit software provides excellent speech quality and user-friendly interface.

RealDuplex from Spirit includes all software components for developing a device to enable comfortable and enjoyable communication over the mobile phone while driving.

Echo cancellation and noise suppression features filter out surrounding noise and phone echo effects.

With Spirit software, users at both ends can hear each other easily without speech distortion and background noise.

Spirit RealDuplex is based on full-duplex technology, and so enables both parties speak at the same time, without delays, squealing, howling, voice clipping, or break-in.

Spirit RealDuplex has already been deployed in the USA, UK, France and Germany.

Also, Spirit RealDuplex has a speech recognition module enabling implementation of user-friendly voice-activated communication control.

Simple verbal commands can be used to place calls, bringing true hands-free convenience.

OEMs can reduce their time to market by using Spirit DSP software solutions to develop end-user devices or units integrated with in-car audio systems.

"Leave your cellphone in your pocket and answer the calls risk-free keeping your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road", says Andrew Sviridenko, founding CEO of Spirit.
