Spirit commits to ARM

A Spirit DSP product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Apr 14, 2005

Spirit has joined the ARM Connected Community.

Spirit has joined the ARM Connected Community, gaining access to a full range of resources to help it market and deploy innovative solutions that will enable developers to get their ARM powered products to market faster.

"Spirit is committed to providing TeamSpirit, an industry-first voice engine for multipoint IP conferencing, to people worldwide", says Andrew Sviridenko, Spirit's Chairman.

"Now that TeamSpirit is fully compatible with ARM, it has become literally the best solution to develop business collaboration systems uniting all mobile devices such as PDA, smart phones, IP-phones, PC, etc in one communication network".

"Enabling all users to take part in a conference in an active way, TeamSpirit ensures better-than-PSTN speech quality and perfectly overcomes all IP network challenges (packet losses, delays, channel distortions etc)".

TeamSpirit is absolutely platform independent and can be implemented on any DSP or RISC processor.

It includes best-of-class speech processing software that ensures fitting extremely tight requirements for enterprise collaboration systems.

Top-notch speech quality is provided by default, and the multipoint conferencing feature satisfies an industry demand for a fully functional communication system with many active participants.

The ARM Connected Community is a global network of companies aligned to provide a complete solution, from design to manufacture and end use, for products based on the ARM architecture.

ARM offers a variety of resources to community members, including promotional programs and peer-networking opportunities that enable a variety of ARM partners to come together to provide end-to-end customer solutions.

The ARM Connected Community also enables Spirit to use the ARM Connected Community logo, which is an easy way for customers to recognise that Spirit has proven its commitment and expertise in support of the ARM architecture.

"By joining the ARM Connected Community, which now comprises more than 300 companies, Spirit increases the large portfolio of skills, products and services that are centred around the ARM architecture, and currently available to developers worldwide", said Mary Inglis, Director of Alliances for ARM.
