A Spirent Communications product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Sep 30, 2008

Spirent Communications has carried out the first public demonstration of its GPS/Galileo/GLONASS simulation system with GSS8000 multi-constellation, multi-signal simulator.

The demonstration took place at the Institute of Navigation (ION) GNSS 2008 conference.

Spirent's GSS8000 GNSS simulator is designed for Research and Development and system and application testing.

The GSS8000 displayed at the recent ION GNSS 2008 conference in Savannah, Georgia included GPS, Galileo and GLONASS signals, plus SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS), combined at one RF output.

This system is also capable of generating signals representing the planned Japanese Quasi-Zenith satellite system.
