Safety and function in one cut test
times
The KT 3301E is a combined safety and functional tester designed for production testing in accordance with BS EN60335, 60204, 61010 and many other standards.
The KT 3301E is a safety and function tester designed for production testing in accordance with BS EN60335, 60204, 61010 and many other standards Safety tests are fully programmable, with: earth bond resistance test from 10 to 30A AC; insulation resistance measurement at 500V DC; and high-voltage flash testing up to 5kV AC and 6kV DC

Lighting tester provides the whole in one
A novel all-in-one lighting tester combines DC insulation resistance testing with functional and high-voltage flash testing to cover regulatory, safety and quality requirements in one package.
Testers take on L, C, R and Z
A new range of testers provides high-accuracy L, C, R and Z measurements for stand-alone, PC-controlled and test system applications.
In addition to these standard safety tests, a continuity test can be performed to ensure that the device under test (DUT) is connected and switched on.
Following the safety tests a functional test (live load) can be performed at mains or other selected voltage or frequency (eg 50/60Hz).
Current limits can be set to evaluate the operating performance of the DUT.
A multiple line LCD, numerical keypad, cursor keys and function keys easily guide the user in setting up the required test programs.
Depending on the particular application the KT 3301E can be operated manually, via a PC or special systems control.
The KT 3301E has internal storage facilities for up to 50 different test programs.
PC control extends this to an unlimited library of test programs, all set and performed under user friendly Windows control.
The software allows the input of serial numbers, via the keyboard or by a barcode scanner, to log test results against for quality and traceability.
Printer and remote control interfaces are standard issue via connectors on the KT 3301E rear panel.
The KT 3301E can be extended using additional plug-in units to provide additional features, including: a programmable and stabilised voltage source for functional testing up to 250V/16A; leakage current testing to meet different BS EN standards (60335, 60950,60601 etc); and active power measurement for functional testing up to 4kW.
With the KT 3301E compact tester the safety and function tests can be performed very economically.
The DUT has only to be connected once to the test system.
The tests run in the pre-programmed sequence automatically and change-over between the different tests is performed internally.
This way, time and costs can be saved.
The KT 3301E can be used with a test fixture or test enclosure to improve operator safety and performance and may be used in a customised system using the RS232 interface connection.
The design includes compliance with the safety standard BS EN50191 (Erection and operation of electrical test equipment - September 2000).
