The UF.7021 is a full-length PCI board with 64 digital input or output channels that can simultaneously capture and replay signals at a maximum sample rate of 125Mbit/s.

The UF.7021 is a full-length PCI board with 64 digital input or output channels that can simultaneously capture and replay signals at a maximum sample rate of 125Mbit/s Typical applications include test pattern generation, pattern recognition, electronic system and component test

As the amount of data that can be captured or replayed exceeds the speed of the PCIbus, the UF.7021 is supplied with 16Mbyte RAM that can be expanded to 512Mbyte.

At slower sampling rates, this onboard RAM can also be configured as a FIFO so that data can be streamed to or from the host PC's memory at up to 80Mbit/s (typical).

Four additional options further increase the flexibility of the board: multiple recording allows a series of high-speed patterns to be stacked as separate events in the onboard RAM; using gated sampling data recording is controlled by an external gate signal; time stamp stores the time of a trigger event in a separate buffer; and synchronisation allows multiple boards to be synchronised through a master clock signal.

To ensure that the fastest events can be accurately recorded, the UF-7021 has been designed with triggering capabilities implemented in hardware.

There are three selectable trigger options: the pattern trigger (measurement starts when a defined word is detected); a pattern/edge trigger (if the defined word is present, the board waits for a positive or negative transition on a chosen input channel); and a pulsewidth trigger (the trigger is enabled if the pulse is shorter or longer than defined).

The UF.7021 is supplied with drivers for Windows XP/2000/NT/98, DOS and Linux.

LabView, Matlab, VEE and DasyLab drivers are available on request.
