In response to customer requests, the UltraFast range of high-speed A/D, D/A and digital I/O boards from Strategic Test are now supplied with Linux drivers The Linux drivers are included in the price of the board and compliment the free drivers for Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, NT4, 98 and 95
Strategic Test claims that requests for the Linux drivers have not only been received from universities but also from an increasing number of blue-chip engineering companies, including the likes of Qualcomm.
The Linux drivers supplied support the full functionality of the UltraFast cards and have been compiled on SUSE Linux 8.1 (Kernel 2.4.19).
Although the driver source code is not usually supplied, it can be provided by special request to support customers running different Linux distributions.
