Waveform generator cards have long
memories
Two- and four-channel 8bit resolution arbitrary waveform generator cards feature up to 4Gsample of onboard memory.
Strategic Test Corp has released two 8bit resolution arbitrary waveform generator cards with up to 4Gsample of onboard memory The UF2-6110 has two synchronous 125Msample/s output channels, and the UF2-6111 offers four channels on a single PCI card

Ultra-fast sampling board runs up to 125Mbit/s
The UF.7021 is a full-length PCI board with 64 digital input or output channels that can simultaneously capture and replay signals at a maximum sample rate of 125Mbit/s.
Both cards are supplied with 64Msample of signal memory standard, but can be increased to 4Gsample using a proprietary DIMM module on the card.
The cards are well suited for radar and I and Q signal generation.
A multiple reply option allows a series of high speed waveforms to be generated with automatic re-arming of the trigger by hardware to ensure a high pulse repetition frequency (PRF).
The choice of two or four synchronous channels per card enables matching I and Q generation without requiring the expense of a second card.
Each channel contains a 125Msample/s 8bit DAC and three Butterworth reconstruction filters with bandwidths of 25MHz, 5MHz or 500kHz.
A "no-filter" setting can also be selected.
Measured dynamic specifications include: minimum SNR 60.9dB, THD 69.1dB maximum and SFDR at least 71.9dB.
The crosstalk between channels is less than -80dB.
The maximum output range is +/-3V, although this can be boosted to +/-10V using the optional one-, two- or four-channel PCI amplifier card.
The cards employ a 66MHz/32bit PCI-X interface that can stream data continuously from the host-PC at rates up to 225Msample/s.
Long duration signals can be generated at lower output rates.
The PCI-X connector is also compatible with the traditional 33MHz/32bit slots, however the data transfer rate is reduced to approximately 100Msample/s.
Drivers for Microsoft Windows XP64, XP, 2000 and Linux (2.4 and 2.6 kernels) are included with free downloads of future OS version drivers such as Windows Vista.
Drivers for Matlab, LabView, VEE, DasyLab and LabWindows/CVI are available as options.
The Ultrafast UF2-6100 cards are available immediately and have the following pricing: two channels (UF2-6110, Eur 3210) and four channels (UF2-6111, Eur 4800).
Volume discounts and OEM customisation prices are available on request.
