Cheung targets Chinese SoC developments
To further address the needs of the China engineering market, Sharp has hired a new business development manager to support sales of its MCU and SoC products.
To further address the needs of the China engineering market, Sharp has recently hired a new business development manager to support sales of its MCU and SoC products.
As Chief Business Development Officer, Clement Cheung is responsible for orchestrating MCU sales activities among Sharp's sister organisations in mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Korea.
"I am pleased to support Sharp's worldwide MCU and SoC development initiative in Asia, which is a fast growing and innovative market for consumer, industrial, and multimedia products", said Cheung.
"Sharp's broad range of development tools and documentation, its flexible reference designs for media-rich applications, and its optimised MCU components, provide Asian customers with reliable, competitively priced, full system solutions for a variety of applications".
Cheung comes to Sharp with 14 years of experience in IC design, marketing, and technical sales.
He held management positions with major US semiconductor companies such as Lucent Technologies, Lattice Semiconductor, Cadence Design, LSI Logic and Artisan (now acquired by ARM).
Cheung holds an MSEE from the University of Southern California and a BSEE from the University of Texas at Austin.
He speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
