Cross-reference tool goes online

A Spectrum Group product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Dec 12, 2005

Catalyst Semiconductor has launched an advanced web-based cross-reference tool to assist engineers and purchasing managers.

According to Scott Brown, Catalyst Semiconductor's Vice President of Marketing, the industry is remarkably unaware of the breadth of his company's product portfolio: "In addition to serial and parallel EEPROMs, Flash and NVRAM memory products, Catalyst Semiconductor offers a wide range of analogue and mixed signal devices including: voltage supervisors, digital potentiometers, LED drivers and DC/DC converters, many of which are pin-for-pin equivalents to industry standard devices".

Addressing the issue, Catalyst Semiconductor has launched an advanced web-based cross-reference tool to assist engineers and purchasing managers to quickly determine if Catalyst Semiconductor is able to assist them to source the part they need.

Called GetAcross, the new cross-reference tool is available on the Catalyst Semiconductor website at www.catsemi.com.

"GetAcross is easy to use and powerful", said Brown.

"The user only has to select a manufacturer's name and/or part number to determine if Catalyst is able to offer an equivalent, and determine the relevant part number to put on their RFQ", Brown concluded.

Catalyst devices are used in telecommunications, networking systems, computation, automotive, industrial and consumer markets.

Typical applications include LCDs, automotive, instrumentation, optical networks, modems, wireless LANs, network cards, DIMM modules, cellular telephones, digital satellite box receivers, set-top boxes and Internet routers.

Catalyst is represented by Spectrum Group.
