Spansion is star supplier to Samsung

Spansion has received the Best Supplier Award for 2005 from Samsung Electronics.

Spansion has received the Best Supplier Award for 2005 from Samsung Electronics.

Spansion previously won this award in 2001 as AMD and took home the Most Valued Partner prise from the Mobile and Communication Division in 2004.

This award, given to only 30 of Samsung Group's 400 overseas partners, demonstrates an important customer acknowledgement of Spansion's efforts to provide superior Flash memory products and technical support.

"This award is recognition that Spansion is delivering on its strategy and meeting the expectations and requirements of the integrated electronics market".

"We are encouraged to enforce our activities on a win-win partnership with one of our customers", said Heinrich Schepers, Corporate Vice President of Spansion Korea.

Nominations for Samsung's Best Supplier Award come from all five of the company's business divisions: digital appliances, digital media, LCD, semiconductor and telecommunication network.

A corporate committee then selects the winners based on the criteria of technology leadership, quality, business volume and relationship.
