Lenovo plans to leverage Spansion's proprietary MirrorBit Flash memory technology to bring innovative phones to the Chinese market, enabling advanced features, such as CD-quality audio and up to 4Mpixel photos on wireless handsets.
A long-time Spansion customer, Lenovo Mobile currently uses Spansion MirrorBit NOR Flash memory solutions in over 10 different Lenovo handsets.

Spansion received the Best Supplier award from Lenovo Mobile for two consecutive years and was the only NOR Flash memory supplier selected.
The award is given out annually to suppliers that have achieved excellent performance and made a strong contribution to Lenovo in the current year.

Spansion's MirrorBit NOR and MirrorBit ORNAND memory solutions deliver high-performance code execution and data storage with a single-platform approach.
The scalable design allows for basic entry-level phones using only NOR devices, up to very high-end, fully featured phones that combine MirrorBit NOR and ORNAND devices, to address a wide range of applications and market segments.
