New from Steadlands is the AT1004, a four-channel full-duplex ADPCM processor with conferencing and echo cancellation capabilities Following the G.726 ITU Standard for ADPCM compression for 40, 32, 24 and 16Kbit/s bitrates with selectable u-law and A-law input/output, the AT1004 uses the command serial interface to enable each individual half-channel to be independently configured for ADPCM conferencing and echo cancelling features
The adaptive line-echo cancelling cancels up to 2ms and converges within 0.5s.
Ideally suited to wireless telephone systems, PBX systems and digital voice storage and messaging devices, the AT1004 features on-chip time slot assignment with an available internal clock generator and frame sync generator.
The device also has a simple three-wire serial command port for chip configuration.
