Resistors go flat out for thermal
efficiency
With ratings from 90-330W, WFH flat, heatsinkable, wirewound resistors from Ohmite offer cost, weight and space savings and superior thermal efficiency over conventional aluminium housed resistors.
With ratings from 90-330W, the new WFH range of flat, heatsinkable, wirewound resistors from Ohmite offer cost, weight and space savings, and superior thermal efficiency over conventional aluminium housed resistors Featuring solder, cable, and Fast-On termination options, WFH resistors are wound on flat cores rather than cylindrical and then housed in flat aluminium extrusions which are only 12.6mm in height across the entire product range
Heat is efficiently spread through the wide aluminium baseplate to the heatsink.
The WFH series has the added advantage of being tappable, a feature not available in MIL-R-18546 type resistors and the costs for the WFH series are progressively more competitive as size increases due to the fact that a common aluminium extrusion is used throughout the range.
