Low-voltage operation and innovative power-down modes make it especially suited to battery powered equipment.
Developed by Holtek Semiconductor, the HT49R50A is engineered for high noise immunity, high operating frequencies and 3.3V compatibility.
Low-voltage reset and low-voltage detector functions are included.
Further features include 12 bidirectional I/O lines, two external interrupt inputs, eight input lines, 160 x 8bit data RAM, on-chip crystal, RC and 32.768kHz crystal oscillator and two 8bit programmable timer/event counters with PFD.
The instruction set features 63 powerful instructions, each executable in two cycles or less.
Program memory is 4K x 15bit OTP or EPROM.
The HT49R50A is available in 48-pin SSOP/100-pin QFP package and supersedes the existing HT49R50.
Combining a low-power timer and RTC oscillator input enables timer operation to continue even when the processor is in power-saving or halt mode.
The device also permits the LCD to remain fully functional when the processor is in power-saving mode.
The LCD interface allows the designer to select the duty cycle and bias type to match the desired display and target application.
RAM mapping simplifies the system to LCD panel interface and operation.
The HT49R50A is supported by the HT-IDE2000 rapid development and debugging environment.
The HT-IDE2000 tools include powerful system development features such as real time emulation, memory/register modification, hardware execution breakpoints and trace analysers.
