Staccato specifies Teradyne flex test platform
Teradyne and Staccato Communications have jointly announced that the Flex Test Platform has been specified for the production ramp of Staccato's Ripcord product family based on Certified Wireless USB.
"Single-chip CMOS solutions dominate Bluetooth and Wi-Fi which bodes extremely well for Staccato's Ripcord solution", said Chris Kissel, In-Stat Research Analyst.
Cellink, a global manufacturer of RF and Bluetooth wireless products based in Taiwan, has selected Staccato Communications' Ripcord family of single-chip all-CMOS solutions for its PC dongle and hub products based on Certified Wireless USB.
Cellink's first Ripcord-based product shipments will begin in the fourth quarter of 2006 in the USA and will eventually target European markets in 2007.
AboCom, an embedded WLAN solutions original design manufacturer (ODM), has also chosen Staccato's Ripcord single-chip all-CMOS solution for its PC dongle and hub products based on Certified Wireless USB.
These products will be based on Staccato's reference designs.
Additionally, AboCom will introduce a PC ExpressCard of its own design based on Staccato's Ripcord chip.
Cameo Communications, an international network products supplier based in Taiwan, has selected Ripcord for its dongles, hubs and addon cards, based on Certified Wireless USB, to enable retrofit of existing PCs and peripherals.
Cameo is a key supplier to many of the largest PC, peripheral, and accessory brand names in the USA and worldwide enabling those customers to offer Certified Wireless USB products on retail shelves by year end.
Asian Information Technology (AIT) is developing a line of production test equipment for products based on Staccato's Ripcord single-chip all-CMOS solution.
AIT is a Taiwan-based supplier that provides test equipment for hundreds of Bluetooth production lines throughout Asia.
