SRS Products PLC announces the availability of a new unit which is designed to overcome snagging when fitting a heavy chassis or subrack into an enclosure.

When fitting a chassis/subrack, users often find it has caught on something, possibly an earth wire.

The assembly then has to be removed to make sure that no damage has been incurred to the system's earth integrity, before it is re-fitted without any snags.

SRS's new Cubic Corner unit, part of the Cubic desk top enclosure system, has been developed to enable snag-free fitting.

The Cubic Corner features an integral earthing mechanism which bonds together both the cladding panels and the main-frame extrusions.

The corner joint contains an earth strap, which, once fitted, is then concealed by a cover cap.

It is easily fitted or removed with a single fixing beneath a snap-on cover.

This new and novel feature ensures that equipment can be installed into the enclosure with the confidence that all the earth connections are in a concealed area, thus preventing any snagging when installing the chassis or subrack.

The level of earth fitment is sufficient to help the final equipment meet Class 1 earth approval standards.
