Low-fat route to embedded SoC development
New at Sunrise Electronics, System-on-Chip Lite is NEC's new approach for low- to mid-volume SoC projects for embedded control applications.
It is a VGA panel that gives 640 x 480pixel resolution in a display area of 21cm diagonal and can display up to 256K colours simultaneously.
This panel has a high brightness of 400cd/m2 and its high contrast ratio of 300:1 makes it suitable for a wide range of ambient lighting conditions.
NEC's new 10.4in NL6448BC33-50 is a completely new type of VGA module known as a transflective panel.
Based on a combination of NEC's advanced transmissive and reflective LCD technologies it has well-balanced features in both operation modes.
In reflective mode, the panel has a high reflectivity and a contrast ratio of 15:1.
In transmissive mode, built in backlighting achieves a luminance of 250cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 100:1, allowing the module to be used in an extremely wide range of lighting conditions.
This module has standard VGA 640 x 480pixel resolution and can display up to 256K colours simultaneously.
It has a wide viewing angle of up to 60 degrees from the normal (side to side) and 45 degrees (up and down) in its transmissive mode.
Its response time is fast at typically 5ms, making it suitable for a wide range of applications such as industrial PC, monitors in process control and display terminals for control systems.
It accepts industry-standard 6bit digital RGB signals plus sync, data enable and clock inputs.
NEC's 12.1in NL8060BC31-20 is a new Super VGA panel offering super-wide viewing angles of 160 degrees horizontal and 160 degrees vertical viewing planes.
It has 800 x 600pixel resolution and can display up to 256K colours simultaneously, Built-in long-life cold cathode fluorescent lamps provide edge lit backlighting with a brightness of 250cd/m2.
This module has a very high contrast ratio of 400:1 making it suitable for a wide range of applications such as industrial PC, display terminals for control systems and monitors in process control.
It accepts industry standard 6bit digital RGB signals plus sync and clock inputs.
Sunrise can also provide design-in support and advice on interface modules for all the display panels it offers.
The extensive range of NEC active-matrix TFT flat panel displays for industrial applications ranges from 5.5 to 12.1in formats.
