Sunrise Electronics can now offer additional support to designers of motor control systems in industrial, automotive and home appliance applications with a new literature pack available free on request.

"Motor control by NEC - mystery solved" provides a comprehensive guide to NEC devices in the successful 78K and V850 families optimised for motor control applications, including the latest K_line devices, together with detailed device data and information on support tools.

As the brochure points out, electric motors are all around us from toothbrushes to tumble dryers, pumps to power trains, cameras to climate control.

Many applications demand nothing more than simple timers to control them - but this often has to be at low-cost.

Both requirements are handled with ease by NEC's vast range of 78K 8bit micros available from Sunrise.

For more specific functionality, some devices offer dedicated motor control peripherals.

If complex computation is required, members of the 32bit V850 micro family can take care of both motor and system control.

Finally the new K-Line micros add even more scalability to NEC's range.
