Gleichmann Electronics is offering three new high-speed optocouplers from NEC Electronics.

Gleichmann Electronics is offering three new high-speed optocouplers from NEC Electronics.

The single-channel PS9121, PS9821-1 and dual-channel PS9821-2 devices, capable of 10Mbit/s transfer speed are supplied in SOP and in SO8 packages (small outline package, pin-to-pin distance of 1.27mm) for compact designs.

The 5-pin SOP has one channel, whereas the 8-pin SO8 has either one or two channels.

The typical supply voltage is as low as 3.3V (7V maximum).

The couplers can be used for DC/DC convertors, measuring equipment, motor control, communication bus systems and many other applications.

They are suitable for harsh industrial environments.

The couplers have a minimum common mode transient immunity of 15kV/us.

They have an open collector output for increased flexibility in circuit design.

The guaranteed values for the maximum pulsewidth distortion are less than 25ns.

The isolation voltage is 2500V RMS, and international safety certificates are available.
