Adapters answer consumer demnands

A Sunpower (UK) product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Feb 28, 2006

Power adapter series is designed based on the energy saving concerns that are currently critical to consumer electronics applications.

The AS-120P is a 120W power adapter series recently added to the Sunpower product line.

Featuring low no load power consumption and the built in active PFC function this series has been designed based on the energy saving concerns that are currently critical to consumer electronics applications.

Thanks to leading edge ZCS/ZVS technology the efficiency is as high as 90% and hence can provide 120W using only free air convection.

With short circuit, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature protections and the fully enclosed plastic case, the AS-120P is ideally suited for LCD TV, LCD monitor, notebook PC and other IT related applications.

Its 28.5mm low profile also targets general industrial applications with space constraints as it can fit perfectly within any 1U space.

Equipped with an IEC320 C14, three-pole AC inlet as standard but with the option for a variety of either AC inlet or DC output plugs, the unit can be customised to suit a specific application (small additional cost and MOQs may apply for nonstandard models).

The supply is also available in open-frame format as the ASP-150.
