Sunpower has added two new special product series to its AC/DC product line from Mean Well Enterprises - the CLG-100 and PLN-100 series.
With the capability of supplying 400W using free air convection alone, it is perfectly suitable for fanless usage; by applying 11 litre/s of system forced air, an even higher output of 500W can be obtained.
With 6.2W/in3 power density, USP-500 series is a compact 90-264V switcher that is ideal for 1U installations.
Standard functions include remote on/off control, remote sense, DC OK signal output, short circuit, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature protections.
Complying with worldwide safety and performance standards from UL, CSA, TUV, CB, and CE, the low profile USP-500 series is targeted at critical applications with limited space.
The design and component selection is based on a rigid procedure and the reliability of these PSUs is also significantly increased because of the no fan design.
Suitable application areas are general electronic application, factory automation, telecommunications, networking, test and measurement, audio systems, massage machines and large size LCD TVs.
