The Surf DSP-24, based on Texas Instruments' C64x DSP generation, is a media processing solution offering simultaneous support for multimedia convergence: voice, video and data (fax/modem) running on a single DSP.
Equipment manufacturers who develop media gateways, IP PBX, CTI products and other media-over-packet applications find this solution suitable and optimised for their requirements, as well as quick and easy to integrate into their hardware designs.
All Surf products support an easy migration path from voice to video, since the same API supports all media types.
"Auerswald selected Surf's technology for its wide range of continually evolving media processing capabilities, which allows us to offer customers flexible solutions that match their current and future density and media requirements", said Oliver Martin, Senior Product Manager, Auerswald.
"In addition, three Surf DSPs do the work of nine DSPs from our previous chip vendor, which makes our solutions even more cost-effective than before".
