The latest addition to Switchtec's SCL brand is the PL22-LT 22mm LED test pilot lamp that incorporates a third connection terminal for testing the LEDs without energising a whole panel.
Richards will be responsible for servicing existing clients and expanding business with those customers, as well as sourcing new opportunities to raise the profile of Switchtec and ultimately increase sales, profitability and growth of the company.
A qualified engineer with a City and Guilds certificate in electronic servicing, Richards arrives at Switchtec having previously held a Product Manager position with a major manufacturer in the industrial controls field.
Prior to that he was an electrical engineer at KAS Paper Systems.
In those roles, Richards gained relevant experience in panel building, electrical systems, product applications, and frequency inverters.
Particularly, Richards cites his keen market awareness, and importantly, his understanding of customer expectations as being important factors in achieving his and Switchtec's business goals.
The latter providing a good fit with Switchtec's ethos of providing a first class customer support service.
