Bricks to power cellular basestations
Isolated full brick DC/DC convertors combine the power density, efficiency and reliability required for RF power amplifier applications in cellular radio infrastructure equipment.
A new series of isolated full brick DC/DC convertors from SynQor are aimed at RF power amplifier (RFPA) applications in cellular radio infrastructure equipment In this demanding area, efficiency and reliability are key attributes in which the SynQor PQ60280FTx26 module excels, with better than 94% efficiency at full load, and a calculated MTBF of more than 2Mh (Telcordia)

60W dual-output convertor needs no heatsink
DualQor dual-output industry-standard quarter-brick-sized isolated DC/DC convertors from SynQor are capable of delivering up to 60W at 5 and 3.3V, with no need for an attached heatsink.
Convertor produces 40A from a quarter brick
SynQor has introduced a 40A quarter-brick-sized isolated DC/DC convertor.
Packaged in the industry standard full brick footprint and pinout, the PQ60280FTx26 converts a 36-75V input to a 28V output, and offers up to 26A of output current.
The wide output trim range of -50 to +15% offers flexibility to adapt the unit for differing RFPA technologies and applications.
The device is available as an open frame unit for convection cooled applications, or baseplated for cold-plate/heatsink mounting, which can be ordered with threaded or nonthreaded mounting holes.
Standard features available on all models include remote on/off, power good, remote sense and current share.
Optional on the full featured version of the device are synchronisation input and output pins, to allow modules to be synchronised either to an external clock or to each other in a multiple module configuration.
The PQ60280FTx26 is capable of withstanding transients on the input to 100V for 100ms, and has a basic isolation level from input to output of 2250V DC.
Protection features include input undervoltage lockout, output over voltage protection, current limit, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown.
Operating temperature range is -40 to +100C.
Sample and production quantities are available immediately with a stock to 8-week lead-time.
The modules are priced at US $85.70 in OEM quantities. Request a free brochure from SynQor Europe ...
