DC/DC convertors meet rail industry
standards

72V-input quarter-brick DC/DC convertors expand options for railway and transportation applications.

A new family of 72V-input quarter-brick DC/DC convertors for railway and transportation applications are an ideal complement for the company's recently released 110V devices for this marketplace The IQ72xxxQTA series features a wide input voltage range of 42-110V, exceeding the requirements of EN50155 for both steady state and transient voltage conditions for 72V systems

A broad range of output voltages are available, with a maximum power level of 150W in the industry standard 58.4 x 36.8mm quarter brick package size.

Outputs can be specified as: 1.8V/40A, 3.3V/30A, 5V/25A,; 7V/20A, 12V/12A, 15V/10A, 24V/6A, 30V/5A or 48V/3A.

Efficiency is as high as 91%.

The IQ72 family of devices are available in three mechanical configurations: open frame, baseplated and fully encapsulated.

The open frame and baseplated models meet basic-insulation requirements, whereas the encapsulated models meet reinforced specifications.

All models have at least 2250V DC isolation rating between input and output.

Calculated MTBF figures are in excess of 2Mh, and all units are fully 6/6 RoHS compliant.

Control and protection features include remote sense, remote enable, a wide output voltage trim range of -20 to +10%, input undervoltage lockout, output OVP, current limit, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown.

Operating temperature range is -40 to +100C.

Sample and production quantities are available immediately with a stock to 8-week lead-time.

The modules are priced at US $103 in OEM quantities. Request a free brochure from SynQor Europe ...
