A Symmetry Electronics product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Sep 20, 2005

Symmetry Electronics has named Ray Woo as President as part of a series of changes aimed at helping the company grow, expand and position itself as a force in the electronics industry.

Symmetry Electronics has named Ray Woo as President as part of a series of exciting changes aimed at helping Symmetry grow, expand and position itself as a force in the electronics industry.

Ray Woo is a electronics industry veteran whose 27-year career includes 13 years at Western Micro and 13 years at Memec Group.

While at Memec, he was the cofounder and driving force behind Unique and Insight, two of the most successful design-oriented, limited line distributors in the industry.

"As a result of the mergers and acquisitions that have taken place in our industry over the last few years, the choices for small and medium sised suppliers has dwindled", says Gil Zaharoni, CEO of Symmetry Electronics.

"We are bringing Ray on board to help us meet the needs of those suppliers and at the same time, build an organisation to handle the many opportunities that are on the horizon".

"I'm impressed with Symmetry's model of catering to specific needs of customers and vendors with their classic demand creation sales efforts as well as leading edge e-commerce alternatives", says Woo.

"My role is to fulfil the potential that has already begun here at Symmetry while creating a team-oriented and focused distributor poised for rapid growth".
