SemiconductorStore.com has signed an agreement to add Quatech and DPAC Technologies' embedded and external device networking products to its online offering.

SemiconductorStore.com, the award-winning e-commerce division of Symmetry Electronics, has signed an agreement to add Quatech and DPAC Technologies' embedded and external device networking products to its online offering The complete line of Device Servers includes 802.11 wireless embedded modules and external products, both wired and wireless

"We are excited to join the SemiconductorStore.com roster with a complete line of high quality, reliable products", said Steve Runkel, CEO of Quatech.

"Customers will have access to both embedded and external device servers, all best-in-class in terms of industrial grade features, high performance and support".

As one of the first to offer embedded versions of this technology, DPAC specialises in embedded wireless networking products for machine-to-machine communication applications in normal to harsh environments.

The Airborne product line offers industrial grade features such as extended operating temperatures, low power consumption and compact form factor.

DPAC is the leading provider to the Transportation industry and their wireless products can also be found in medical devices, instrumentation and industrial control, homeland security, and warehouse and logistics systems, providing remote data collection and control.

Quatech's networking solutions, both wired and wireless, are distinguished as the most powerful and reliable Device Servers in the industry, and are also integral components in the expanding machine-to-machine marketplace.

At the core of the Quatech device server is the PowerPC microprocessor, which delivers top datarates and the lowest latency in the industry.

Quatech also develops device connectivity products for desktop, mobile and stand-alone systems.

Under the terms of the agreement, SemiconductorStore.com is authorised to promote and sell the complete line of products from both Quatech and DPAC Technologies, which are currently in the process of a merger.

In April 2005, Quatech and DPAC Technologies announced a definitive agreement to merge, and in August 2005 announced a license agreement giving Quatech the exclusive worldwide right to sell, distribute and manufacture DPAC's Airborne wireless products as well as to create and develop additional wireless products using DPAC's technology.

The merger is scheduled for completion in early 2006.
