Silverback Systems is working with the StoreVault division of Network Appliance to offer Silverback's iSnap 2110 dual-port iSCSI host bust adapter (HBA) as an option for the new StoreVault S500 network storage system for the small and medium business (SMB) market When used in a host computer connected to the StoreVault S500, the iSnap 2110 HBA offloads several tasks that a host connected to the StoreVault S500 would otherwise need to manage, including iSCSI and TCP/IP protocols, enabling SMB customers to take advantage of unprecedented network storage acceleration provided by the patented iSnap technology
