Office shows long-term commitment to
China
Synopsys has opened an expanded Shanghai office, which now includes the R and D Centre and houses more than 200 sales, R and D, and technical support employees.

Synopsys opened its first office in China in 1995 and has since set up offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen.
In 2003, Synopsys relocated its Beijing office to a significantly larger location closer to the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and renowned universities.
It is three times as large as the previous office.
Over the past five years, the average annual growth rate of Synopsys' revenue in China was approximately 70%.
Apart from its successful establishment in China, Synopsys has formed a number of strategic partnerships in the Chinese market, including founding the joint laboratory for advanced SoC design with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and supporting the construction of China state IC design incubators.
"Due to the rapid development of China's semiconductor industry, semiconductor vendors have had to face many tough challenges.
Synopsys plans to use its integrated sales, R and D and technical services teams in Shanghai to help satisfy semiconductor vendors' increasing demand and competitiveness in the international market", said Pan Jianyue, Country Manager of Synopsys China.
