Synopsys improves productivity at Ubixum

Synopsys has announced that Ubixum has adopted its Galaxy Custom Designer mixed signal implementation solution.

Ubixum needed a solution that would address the custom design implementation requirements of its latest image sensor array for biomedical applications.

The Custom Designer toolset fitted easily into the Ubixum flow and delivered initial results in just a few days, demonstrating improved productivity with high quality.

Key modules of the Custom Designer include a schematic editor featuring on-canvas editing and dynamic net highlighting.

The simulation environment provides a common-use model allowing access to Synopsys simulators, including the Hspice, Hsim XA, Nanosim XA and Waveview analyser simulators.

The layout editor features a real-time preview of P-cell parameter changes.

The results from the Hercules DRC/LVS and Star-RCXT parasitic extraction tools are dynamically available within Custom Designer.

In addition, Custom Designer enables complete data transparency with the IC Compiler physical implementation solution from Synopsys.

This allows the exchange of vital information during floor planning, placement, routing and final chip editing to reduce time-consuming design iterations.
