Tao Group has made major enhancements and additions to its Intent technology suite with the launch of the Intent 2 SDK.
The concept of a 'connected intelligent client' mobility solution is one in which the end-user benefits from a rich and usable task-specific graphical interface with access to live enterprise data, and the ability to continue operation when network coverage is not available.
In addition, intelligent use of wireless bandwidth delivers real cost savings for enterprises operating 'always-on' mobility solutions.
"Through our partnership with Tao Group, for the first time we can deliver Java-based client/server applications, capable of running the kind of premium services required by operators and broadcasters, on a wide variety of devices in a high performance, reliable and deterministic manner", comments David Springall, CTO of Yospace.
"We are also able to rapidly develop rich user interfaces using our YoGI technology.
This allows us to quickly re-factor the design for stylus-driven and thumb-driven handsets", adds Springall, "by running on the intent platform YoGI has access to a wealth of media technologies including full international font support and some advanced graphics capabilities that you would never have thought possible on smaller devices".
