The new Voq Professional Phone from Sierra Wireless, now shipping in Europe through the Dutch network operator KPN, features two of intent's core technologies The Voq Professional Phone, a Microsoft Windows Mobile-based smartphone, features the Intent Java Technology MIDP 2.0 runtime solution and an advanced polyphonic ringtone engine (APRE) MIDI profile supporting up to 64 note polyphony which provide end users with powerful Java and audio capabilities

Tao designed its product to easily integrate with Windows Mobile-based platforms, significantly reducing engineering costs, time to market, and the overall bill-of-materials costs for handset manufacturers such as Sierra Wireless.

The use of intent within the Voq Professional Phone further reinforces Tao's presence in the mobile device market.

Intent is now used by many of the world's leading OEMs and ODMs in consumer electronic products for the home and in mobile devices.
