Prototyping boards speed FPGA development
A new series of Virtex-II FPGA prototyping boards provides an ideal platform for FPGA developers to evaluate, implement, test and extend custom designs using high-density Xilinx Virtex-II FPGAs.
Leveraging Texas Instrument's eXpressDSP real-time software technology, and fully compliant with the TMS320T DSP algorithm standard, bf3Net software reduces the time, cost and risk involved in developing reliable Internet-enabled embedded control applications.
A flexible and powerful design platform, bf3Net provides standard support for TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP and IGMP protocols, and optional support for SMTP, DNS, DHCP, POP3, HTTP and FTP.
TMS320C2800 DSPs are the industry's first 32bit control DSPs with onboard Flash memory and performance up to 150MIPS, and a roadmap to 400MIPS.
Offering developers an excellent combination of performance, integration, and code efficiency, they significantly reduce development time while delivering much higher performance than any other existing programmable DSP controller.
bf3Net is developed and produced by Windmill Innovations in Nijkerk, The Netherlands and is the first-to-market eXpressDSP compliant TCP/IP protocol stack supporting TMS320 DSP processors.
bf3Net facilitates DSP development with tight Code Composer Studio IDE integration and full RFC compliant support for TMS320C2800, TMS320C5000, and TMS320C6000 devices.
bf3Net software licensing is available for developers of application hardware or for users of the Texas Instruments F2812 eZdsp starter kit.
Development licence pricing starts at $4995, with run-time licensing as little as 8.75c per copy for the first 100,000 copies, and free of charge thereafter.
Users of the F2812 eZdsp starter kit can purchase a bf3Net starter kit, including a starter version of the bf3Net software and a ready to use 10/100Base-T Ethernet adapter, for only $1575.
