A novel software adapter allows hex databytes and ASCII characters to be transmitted from a PC keyboard to an I2C bus.

A novel adapter allows hex databytes and ASCII characters to be transmitted from a PC keyboard to an I2C bus It is primarily intended for evaluation of Taretronics' intelligent LED display modules with I2C interfaces, but will also be useful for other applications

In addition to sending data from the keyboard, the device includes an operating mode that periodically reads and displays the ambient temperature on a Taretronics intelligent LED display module.

Construction details and microcontroller programming code are available as free downloads.

The C language source code is available by mail for $22.95, to allow customisation of the device.
