IC packaging partnership proves a success
IC packaging leader Advanced Semiconductor Engineering has announced its commitment to Ansoft's HFSS, Q3D Extractor and AnsoftLinks simulation products for IC packaging design and model extraction.
Tata Elxsi leverages its "Inside-the-Box" competency and reusable technology components to help OEMs meet these market pressures.
As part of the company's ongoing strategy of continuous innovation and enhancing value proposition to OEMs in the multimedia audio/video industry, the MMAD Framework provides an abstraction layer for different platforms, codecs and middleware components.
It includes multiple API layers that are tested for robustness and integratability of middleware components.
It also consists of audio/video components like MPEG4, AAC, MP3, H.263, H.264 and WMA/V optimised for different processor platforms including ARM9E series.
The MMAD Framework allows product developers to reduce time and efforts for new product design.
This is achieved by ease of portability, ease of integrating 3rd-party components, reduction of component testing and system testing time, provided by the framework.
The MMAD Framework should be of special interest to OEMs and developers for a range of products including digital set top boxes, digital cameras/camcorders, audio/video players, digital video recorder and gaming consoles, to name a few.
