Stainless-steel mounting gaskets last longer
Shielding specialist, TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP) has introduced new stainless-steel versions of its low-profile and pressure sensitive mounting gaskets.
The light-grey enamel is formulated for use with all types of conventional application equipment including hot spray, airless, electrostatic and "spinning bell" dipping.
A coating of 50um wet film thickness provides a final dry film thickness of 25um.
Specifications include specific gravity of 1.50g/cmü, viscosity of 3 to 4.5 poise IC cone and plate, flashpoint between 22 and 32C, flash-off time of 15 min, temperature resistance of 160C and coverage of approximately 15m2/litre.
Stoving requirements are 30min at 120C.
To aid performance, TBA ECP can also provide suitable degreasing solvents and primers for various surfaces including aluminium, alloys and steel that promote improved appearance and adhesion.
Further improvements can be obtained by using TBA ECP's range of full stoving primers that also provide corrosion protection.
Several such primers are available including TBA Universal Air Dry, Stoving Primer, Undercoat Z41M111 and Red Oxide Epikote Stoving Primer.
