Monitor keeps an eye on the earth
The ECP 1601/EUR/P portable constant monitor from TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP), is ideal in field service applications where the benefits of continuous monitoring are required.
The ECP 1601/EUR/P portable constant monitor from TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP), is ideal in field service applications where the benefits of continuous monitoring are required It is widely accepted that continuous monitoring is a superior form of ESP auditing than spot testing

Stainless-steel mounting gaskets last longer
Shielding specialist, TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP) has introduced new stainless-steel versions of its low-profile and pressure sensitive mounting gaskets.
However, this form of testing is not possible with most constant monitors as they require mains power which is not always readily available to field service engineers.
TBA ECP's portable 1601/P monitor is powered from a standard 9V PP3 type battery and is thus able to provide all the benefits of continuous monitoring of personal grounding systems in field service situations.
The 1601/P constant monitor operates to the limits given in BS IEC 61340 and relies on the resistance model of measurement to provide readings.
Furthermore, it not only provides constant monitoring of personal grounding systems but it can also be used to test individual components of the system should a problem occur that requires investigation.
The lightweight monitors are designed to continuously check the three elements of a personal grounding system: the operator wristband, cord and matting.
The standard 1601/P version is BT approved and constantly checks wristband resistance is between 3.7Mohm +/-5% and 50Mohm +/-10%, cord resistance is between 4Mohm +/-2% and 4.8Mohm +/-2% and cord/mat/cord resistance is between 7.4Mohm +/-5% and 11.4Mohm +/-5%.
The EUR version, which can also be configured as a heel strap test station, checks wristband resistance is between 0.9Mohm +/-5% and 35Mohm +/-10%, cord resistance is between 0.9Mohm +/-2% and 5Mohm +/-10% and cord/mat/cord resistance is between 1.9Mohm +/-5% and 11.4Mohm +/-5%.
Both visual and audible indication of alarm conditions is provided.
Unit dimensions are 145 x 90 x 32mm.
TBA ECP's portable constant monitors complement the company's wide range of static audit and test instrumentation that includes the ECP 1600 wristband checker, ECP 1602 surface resistivity meter, ECP 1603 surface resistivity and resistance to ground test kit, ECP 1604 continuous workstation monitor, a shielding bag tester and ECP JCI 140 static monitor.
