The dual-wavelength attenuated Armadillo loopback features uniform attenuation technology, enabling the same precision optical loss at both 1310 and 1550nm.

Timbercon has released its dual-wavelength attenuated Armadillo loopback, designed to provide wavelength-independent signal loss simulation across multiple applications The dual-wavelength attenuated Armadillo loopback features uniform attenuation technology, enabling the same precision optical loss at both 1310 and 1550nm

It is available with any level of attenuation from 0dB to 20dB.

"The new dual-wavelength attenuated Armadillo loopback provides users with more flexibility and freedom in their applications", said Sean Gitt, Director of Marketing for Timbercon.

"This increased functionality enables one product to be used in multiple applications with different light sources, wavelengths or both".

In addition to uniform attenuation technology, all dual-wavelength Armadillo loopbacks feature a hard, protective shell that encases and protects the fibre portion of the loopback.

It eliminates problems with ferrule alignment, fibre breakage and performance degradation.
