Analysers check ADSL interoperability
Both British Telecom and France Telecom have purchased the DSL Xpert multilayer analyser.
By deploying DSL Xpert, Alcatel Belgium is tackling ADSL interoperability and standard-compliance problems between digital subscriber line access multiplexers (DSLAMs) residing at the central office (CO) and customer premise equipment (CPE).
The company may also use DSL Xpert for assessment of third-party chipset vendors and for product evaluation within its internal development process.
