The 24V NP1300 rectifier has been specifically designed for 24V applications and is used as a part of the Infinity Platform for global wireless solutions.
Control module puts batteries on standby
Tyco Electronics Power Systems has expanded its NP Series of 48V power systems with the NP control and distribution module (CDM) indoor battery reserve system.
It features the same footprint and pin-out as the PIM200, Tyco Power Systems' highly successful 200W ATCA power input module, with 50% more power.
Like the PIM200, the PIM300 provides a complete packaged solution for ATCA boards.
PIM300 modules feature an input voltage range of -38 to -75V DC, suitable for both -48 and -60V DC power distribution.
The modules incorporate the power management features required by the AdvancedTCA PICMG 3.0 specification.
Besides providing the power management features required by PICMG specifications, PIM300 series features a 72V auxiliary boost supply for charging external hold-up capacitors.
This enables designers to significantly reduce external capacitance required to meet the hold-up time in case of loss of feed, thereby saving valuable space and cost.
The PIM300 is the same size as the PIM200, 70.6 x 36.8 x 12.7mm, providing scalability to customers if their board power needs increase.
When combined with Tyco Power Systems' bus convertors and point of load modules, the PIM300 modules provide a complete space and cost efficient powering solution while complying with AdvancedTCA board power requirements.
Tyco Power Systems has recently released the QBW025 series, a 12V/25A, 300W bus convertor, ideally suited for use in high-power ATCA boards.
Tyco Power Systems' Lynx series point-of-load modules have output currents ranging from 3A to 30A and support EZ-Sequence, allowing designers to implement highly efficient and scalable intermediate bus architecture for their ATCA boards.
"With the popularity of AdvancedTCA in the telecommunications industry, we are excited to lead the market in providing a complete power solution", said Sabi Varma, General Manager, Tyco Electronics Power Systems.
"Our PIM300 modules further address the needs of telecom equipment manufacturers for high-density ATCA boards".
The PIM300 modules are priced at $53.10 for 1000 unit quantities.
