The TDC GPS9543 starter pack allows fast out-of-the-box evaluation of the Leadtek 9543 GPS receiver.

The TDC GPS9543 starter pack allows fast out-of-the-box evaluation of the Leadtek 9543 GPS receiver The GPS9543 receiver is a high-performance, low-power-consumption, easily integrated and low-cost product designed for a broad spectrum of OEM system applications

It is particularly suited to car navigation, marine navigation, fleet management, AVL and location-based services, handheld devices for personal positioning and navigation, as well as being ideal for PDA, pocket PC and other computing devices.

The TDC GPS9543 starter pack uses 3V LP version for lowest power and runs for up to 30h operation from three AA cells.

Additionally, the pack includes antenna, power supply and adapter cable.

The board provides DC power supply support (8-20V input) and serial and prototyping support.

The 9543 starter pack also comes complete with a CD including utilities for evaluation and documentation.

Quick start notes are included for ease of use.

The GPS9543 receiver is based around the SiRF Star II and SiRF Star IILP chipset offering fast time to first fix and excellent navigational performance, optionally augmented by the European Geo-stationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) and Wide Area Augmentation Service (WAAS).
