Triband antennas provide elegant solutions
The MCA 1890 stripe tri-band and 1890 PA/SMB mini-patch are the latest additions to the Hirschmann Antennas range.
Andreas Schneider, Executive Vice President of EnOcean will also be talking at the event.
Delegates are invited to come and watch batteryless switches and sensors communicate without wires in applications such as building automation - lighting control, window sensors and air-conditioning control - or industrial applications such as position switch gears or process monitoring systems.
EnOcean products have been designed around two core competencies: energy harvesting - whether it is Peltier, solar, vibration, rotation or piezoelectric to provide energy engines; and optimisation of digital and RF electronics to produce highly efficient and highly reliable packet data transmissions over the air.

Compact modem speeds handhelds to market
TDC has a low-cost, simplified and compact SCXV.22bis modem device from Conexant which it reckons makes quick time to market easily accessible.
Combining the above technologies leads to absolutely maintenance-free wireless sensor solutions, offering competitive advantage to other radio standards such as ZigBee, WiFi and Bluetooth which are not appropriate where batteryless wireless switches and sensors are required because they absorb too much power.
The EnOcean technology has been successfully implemented in many buildings around Europe and new applications for batteryless wireless switches and sensors are being recognised every day.
The agenda will include a background to the technology and history of the batteryless wireless products.
We will discuss the methods of energy harvesting, look in technical detail at the EnOcean modules and starter packs available from TDC and finish with real life examples of applications where batteryless wireless technology has already enjoyed success.
The seminar will run from 0930 to 1330 BST followed by lunch where delegates will be able to discuss their applications further.
A charge of GBP 10 per head is payable by credit card in order to secure bookings.
This will be refunded against your first purchase.
Jerry Sandys, Managing Director of TDC, comments: "This is a new and exciting branch of embedded wireless communication".
"We are delighted to demonstrate this highly innovative technology and TDC is proud to be the sole distributor for EnOcean in the UK, Ireland, and also exclusively through Promax in Nordic and ECC in Italy".
