Catalyst system selected for the Alba
Centre
Test Advantage has purchased a Teradyne Catalyst test system to support its SoC and mixed-signal device test development, preproduction and educational activities.
Test Advantage, a test technology services company based at the Alba Centre campus in Livingston, Scotland, has purchased a Teradyne Catalyst test system to support its SoC and mixed-signal device test development, preproduction and educational activities The Alba Centre, developed as a world-class research campus for SoC design and test technology and recognised as a centre of excellence in SoC test, will have access to the Catalyst system for test training classes in support of academic research at the Institute for System Level Integration (ISLI)

Test Advantage will use the Catalyst, installed at the facility during the first quarter of this year, to provide semiconductor test related services and facilities to both local UK and European companies testing telecom, datacomms and automotive devices, in addition to offering both commercial training and educational resources.
Test Advantage will support mutual Teradyne-Test Advantage semiconductor industry customers with test program development, device characterization, pre-production testing and training services.

It delivers the full, state-of-the-art test coverage required to test today's complex devices, as well as those in development, and offers the necessary advanced analogue instrumentation for the future evolution of those devices test requirements.
