The INtime real-time operating system for Intel architecture processors now supports the National Instruments LabView Embedded Development Module.
Real-time Windows extend to 64bit systems
The newest release of INtime will be demonstrated on both the Intel and Microsoft booths at Embedded World in Nuremberg, Germany.
TenAsys will be demonstrating how its INtime real-time OS complements Microsoft Windows in a dual-OS system running on the new Intel Core Duo processor in the Intel booth (12-550) at the Embedded World show in Nuremberg, Germany.
The INtime OS from TenAsys, a leading authority on virtualisation technology for real-time and embedded applications, is based on software that has been field-proven in performance-critical Intel Architecture applications over the last 25 years, and first demonstrated real-time dual-OS virtualisation in 1990.
INtime is the only protected-mode real-time operating system that uses virtual machine technology to isolate Microsoft Windows, enabling real-time applications to execute with guaranteed determinism in concurrence with Windows on standard PC hardware.
Because real-time application code executes in user-mode, the INtime environment is immune to application faults that crash kernel-mode driver solutions.
The company's offering continues to advance with new hardware innovations.
INtime 3.0 adds support for Intel's dual-core processors, offering the ability to dedicate one CPU core of a multicore processor for exclusive real-time use, and the ability to debug real-time applications along with Windows applications using the Microsoft Visual Studio debugger.
"The breadth of technology and tools that support the new Intel Core Duo processor continues to grow", said Kim Hartman, TenAsys' VP of Sales and Marketing, "and TenAsys is committed to playing a leadership role in the application of real-time operating systems to leverage the best performance from VT-x enabled processors".
